| Easy Access onto a
Professional Register
The
theory and practice assessments of the Devon School of Shiatsu
have been ratified by the Shiatsu Society, the largest professional
body for shiatsu in the UK. This means that when students gain their
Diploma in Shiatsu from the school at the end of their three years
training, they can go straight onto the Shiatsu Society’s
register of shiatsu graduates without having to take further theory
or practical exams with the society.
During their first
year of professional practice, graduates are required by
the Shiatsu Society to enter the Post Graduate Year scheme, to further
foster the development of their professional practice of shiatsu.
During this year graduates arrange some supervision and Continuous
Professional Development, and at the end of the year become Members
of the Register of the Shiatsu Society, and can put the letters
MRSS after their name.
The Devon School of Shiatsu
guides graduates in how to best complete the Post Graduate
Year, and the most useful directions for them to take in
their Continuous Professional Development.
